Component of personal computer

          A Computer consist of hardware and software. Everything you touch and see in the Personal Computer is called Hardware. the computer has a large number of component. Each of these parts is essential to the functioning of computer. input output device, storage device, processing devices, Communication devices and infrastructure are the different parts of the Computer. 

Input Devices :

Input devices are used to enter or key in data in the computer. the devices as keyboard, Scanner and light pen, pen drive, scanner etc are used to enter the data in computer so that computer can process it and give the output. different types of input devices as follow :

Keyboard : It is used to enter all information that can be processed or stored in the computer. it is most effective to enter text into application. 

Pen drive : It is also used to enter data in computer. this is portable device that can be bring one pc to other.

Scanner : It allow the user to make soft copy of a particular document. it is enter the image into bits of graphic information like little dots that computer can manipulate and store digitally. 

Digital Camera :  It is also used to enter the image into computer and store the data with and without computer.


Output Device :

Output devices are used to display or produce the processed data. Monitor, projector and Printer are such devices that are used to display output. Various output devices process or display the output in different manners different types of Output devices as follow :

Monitor/Display System : This is device to used to show the output that is entered by input devices in PC

Projector : This device is also used show output in big screen.

Printer :  This devices is used to show output in hardcopy to the user. the most common are laser printers and inkjet printers. 

Display Card : It is used to support visual effects on a personal computer. display card takes the data from different parts of the computer and takes it to monitor in a format that the monitor can use. 

Sound Card : it is used to generate sound effects in a computer. sound card is a component that is responsible for the sound effects of a computer. 

Fax : this is device that combines both the telecommunication capability  of a modern with the hard copy output of a printer.


Storage Devices :

Storage devices are used to store data in the computers. There are so many types of storage devices for computers. these stores devices offer a wide range of storage options. the different type of storage device are as follow :

Magnetic Devices - it is define the most common form of data storage. magnetic device like floppy devices, zip drives and portable drives.

Solid-State Storage Devices : the flash memory used for storing data in digital cameras and memory cards for video games are solid state storage devices.

Optical Device - it is define large amounts of data storage. the compact disk is most common form of optical storage devices. this device are very compact and inexpensive.

Processing Device : 

the main function of computer is to processing the data. data that is entered by user processed by CPU. Central Processing is the main device to process the data. the different type of Process device are as follow :

Microprocessor : It is used to control the flow of data in the system. the most important electronic component on the motherboard is microprocessor. 

Chipset : It provides vital support functions to the microprocessor. the chipset makes signals such as clocks that sets pace of logic operation of the microprocessor.

BIOS : It is stands for Basic Input Output System. it is instructs the computer what to do before loading any software.

Communication Devices ; It can be established between computer using different cables, interface and wireless devices. when peripherals devices that attached inside the computer are attached together using various ports and cables called Bus. he different type of Process device are as follow :

Interface : It provide a communication channel that enables your computer to exchange information between many devices. 

I/O Ports and Cables : it is used to connect input and output device to the PC.  There are two types of I/O Cable 1. Serial Cable : it is used to connect modems, mice and digital camera  2. Parallel : it is used to connect to scanner, Printers etc.

USB : It is stands for Universal Serial Bus. It connects wide range of devices like mouse, keyboard, modems and speakers. it become very popular communication device. It is a very highly advanced fast and simple. to use.

LAN Card : It is used to connect the PC to network. it enables connection to other computers.
