What is computer ?
         it is also Known as Personal Computer. It is an electronic device which accept input data and give desire output what user want. It is integral part of everyday life. It perform so many task like Storage data, Listing music, Playing game, watching video, Calculation easy. Scientific application such as weather forecasts, research, and chemical analysis.
       Computer provides faster communication  through the internet by sending and receiving e-mails. we can receive any information through internet. It's hard to imagine today world without computer and internet.

1.1 Functions of a PC
    PC has a microprocessor for processing data, keyboard for entering, a monitor for displaying data and a storage device for storing data PC Perform many function such as :
  • Accepting Data - PC accepts data input from the user through various input devices such as keyboard, mouse, scanner, digital camera or microphone.
  • Storing Data -  it is used to store large amount of data in storage device such as Hard Disk, Floppy Disk, Pen Drive, Optical Drive etc.
  • Processing Data - It is used to performs operations on the input data. A instruction send to process to perform that is given by the user and give desire output.
  • Displaying Data - It is used to shows process data to the user by the help of Monitor, printer, speakers etc. 
            entire activity process of accepting data, processing the data and displaying the processed data is called the Input-Process-Output Cycle.
